One of my very favorite picture books is Blueberries for Sal! Since blueberries are in season in the summer, now is a great time to read it with your little ones.
Precocious little Sal travels up the hill with her mom to pick blueberries. She wanders off and discovers a momma bear and her cub on the other side of the hill.
The cub follows Sal’s momma, and Sal follows the momma bear. Your kids will love discovering whether each momma goes home with the right little one.
After reading the story with your students and kids, choose a fun snack and a craft to extend the experience.

This sounds like a cute book to share with my niece and nephew. Also with my son and he might even be willing to do some of the activities with my niece and nephew.
