Rainbow books for preschoolers

Whether you’re looking for books to give as a spring gift or you’re looking for a book to add to your bookshelf, you’ll love the books featured on the list below.

You should be able to find these books at your local library or used bookstore. If not, you can order them from Amazon by clicking the images and titles below.

Curious George Discovers the Rainbow – George’s city friends Betsy and Steve are taking their first trip to visit him in the country. When a light rain casts a stunning rainbow in the sky, George is introduced to all the beautiful colors of the spectrum!

Come along as he chases the rainbow for his pot of gold and learns all about how rainbows occur and even how to create his own.

Rainbows – One of the best things about a rainy day is the possibility of seeing a rainbow, but there’s more to rainbows than meets the eye!

Simple text introduces readers to the science behind rainbows. Including why rainbows occur and what they are made of.

How the Crayons Saved the Rainbow – The Sun and the Clouds are best friends. Together they keep the world warm, the gardens growing, and the sky full of beautiful rainbows.

One day they get into a fight and refuse to be in the sky together. That means there are no longer any rainbows.

Without rainbows, the colors start disappearing until Earth was left with no color … except for one little forgotten box of crayons in one little school desk.

A Rainbow of My Own – A small boy imagines what it would be like to have his own rainbow to play with.

Rainbow, Rainbow in the Sky – Rainbow, Rainbow In The Sky is a read aloud poem that children will enjoy.

Its delightful rhyme will encourage early language development and spark curiosity about how a rainbow is formed.

The World Made a Rainbow – The World Made a Rainbow is a story to remind us that light can’t shine without dark, rainbows can’t color the sky without rain, and the world is always full of hope and possibility, even when we feel lost and alone.

Rainbow – What is that colorful arc in the sky? It is a rainbow. Rainbows are always pretty to look at, but where do they come from?

The answer is at your fingertips. Just open this book and read about the wonders of rainbows…
