Flashcards have so many uses. This particular set of flashcards can be used in a variety of ways while you’re teaching Jack and the Beanstalk.

All you need to do to prepare the flashcards is print, cut, and go. You can laminate them for durability, if you’d like.

Once they’re prepared, you can hang them on the wall for decoration. Or, you can use them as traditional flashcards having children identify the object or character on each one.

using the Story flashcards

I hope you enjoy using the flashcards with your students. After cutting the cards apart you can use them in so many ways.

Bulletin Board Decorations

You can hang these flashcards on your bulletin board for themed decorations.

Vocabulary Builder

Use the cards as a vocabulary builder. Mix up the flashcards and place them on a table facedown. Flip them over one at a time, and have your child identify the object or character on each one.

ABC Order

Lay the cards on a table face up, and have kids put them in ABC order. Take out the extra “Jack” cards, and just use one for ease of use.

Sequencing

Have kids put the cards in order. Either, they can place the cards as you read the story aloud. Or, they can sequence the cards as an assessment of what they recall.
