It’s so easy to download and print this book-based activity for your little ones today!

Young children will love using these puppets during your fairy tales unit study.

Gingerbread Man Printable Characters

It’s important to give children an opportunity to discuss and retell the stories they read and/or listen to. This helps them connect and engage with the story. These printable puppets are just what you need!

Preparing the puppets

Print all of the pages on cardstock and laminate them for durability. Cut out the puppets, and glue them to craft sticks.

Using the puppets

There are many ways to use the gingerbread man printable characters. Whether you’re working one-on-one or using them in a group setting, there are many different ways to make learning fun.

Story Time

As you read your favorite version of the story, pull out the puppets and introduce the characters as you read. Or, use them to act out the story as you read it aloud.

One-on-One

As you read the story to your child, have them act out the story with the puppets. Or, have them sequence the puppets as the characters are introduced in the story.

Small Group

Assign each student a puppet. Have them act out their part as you read the story aloud. Or, have a small group retell the story with the puppets after you’ve read through it a time or two.

I know these gingerbread man puppets will be a hit with your kids this holiday season. They are so cute, and your students will love using them to reenact and/or retell the story.
